Ryan and Kristen individually had a love for travel and a hobby in photography. When they met in 2010 both of those passions are what brought them together. They immediately started traveling the world together with a camera in hand. They were married a year later and that started Yaldor Photography.

They both enjoy nature and wildlife photography the most – above or below the water.

Ryan and Kristen see photography as a way to capture a moment in time – forever! You will never experience the same thing twice and there is nothing better than having those memories to look back on for years to come.

In the last 5 years, their photography travel has expanded. They focus on a few major photography trips a year to see new species, experience new places, and to hone in on their photography skills.

Their favorite place they have been to date has been Antarctica. The wildlife is so abundant and the animals are living their best lives in the open unspoiled lands. The peacefulness and tranquility of the continent blew them away.

What is your favorite animal to photograph?

She prefers bears the most because they are cute and loves the variety of colors and types. Brown bears, polar bears, black bears, pandas, and more.

What has been your favorite place you have traveled for photography and why?

Antarctica. There were so many places we stopped and at each location there were many different species of penguin, seals, and birds. The lands were untouched, pristine, and gave me great pleasure to see these animals thriving in their natural environment. A part of that trip was to South Georgia island where we got to see the 400,000+ king penguin colony. Amazing!

What is your most cherished memory while taking pictures?

While on a game drive in Africa through Hwange National Park, the driver spotted a lion with a kill and drove us very close to photograph and watch the lions feast. We could hear them purring with joy as they filled their bellies.

What is a place you would like to go to that you haven’t been to before for photography and why?

She would love to see the panda bears in their natural environment. Such majestic creatures!
